Marie-Claude Landry

Marie-Claude Landry is the director and founder of Marie-Sol Music Academy and holds two master’s degrees from the Conservatoire de musique de Québec in trumpet performance and chamber music. As an experienced teacher, she supports students of all ages in an inclusive and dynamic setting, from music exploration to advanced courses.

Tony Richard

Tony Richard is a bilingual teacher at the Académie de musique Marie-Sol and a musician in the group Les mal amanchés. He teaches guitar and ukulele. Actively involved in community development, he brings his expertise and energy to students of all ages. His teaching focuses on creativity and confidence, allowing each student to progress at their own pace. Tony inspires his students to explore guitar and ukulele with enjoyment and commitment, creating an environment that fosters personal expression and musical discovery.

Mélanie Dupuis

A passionate soprano, Mélanie Dupuis brings to the Academy both stage presence and heartfelt artistry. She holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor’s degree in Voice from Mount Allison University, and has performed in numerous opera roles / festivals / concerts across Canada.

Her teaching approach is built on vocal freedom / confidence / expressiveness. With her, every singer learns to find their unique colour and power, while enjoying the full joy of singing.

Jason Flores

Jason Flores is a double bassist from Washington State, now based in Fredericton. A graduate of the Lionel Hampton School of Music, Jason is known for his musical versatility, having explored a wide range of genres and collaborated with renowned musicians such as John Clayton and Tony LePage. At Marie-Sol Music Academy, he teaches double bass, electric bass, and ukulele, sharing his passion for music and inspiring students to express themselves through it. His teaching approach encourages each student to explore and grow musically.

  • Advanced training with musical masters such as John Clayton, Ray Legere, Dwayne Andrews and Tony LePage

Karine Basque

Karine Basque is a singer from New Brunswick, known for her warm stage presence and expressive interpretation. A former student of the Marie-Sol Music Academy, she now guides teens and adults in developing their voices and confidence, drawing inspiration from her own artistic journey.

  • Guest soloist with the Fredericton Symphony Orchestra at the Playhouse
    (Concert: “Vive la France!” – April 2025)

  • New Brunswick representative at Imaginature Montréal 2025

    FestiVin Caraquet, Quartier des Officiers, River Jam Fredericton 2025, Groove in the Garrison 2024

  • Vocal instructor at the Marie-Sol Music Academy, teaching according to the Marie-Sol pedagogy (voice, interpretation, stage presence).
